Nothing on the rail comes down.

A short read on permanence, why it matters, and why the app that proves it belongs on Robinhood Chain.

Cloud storage is a lease. You pay a monthly bill, and the day it stops the files stop being yours. The company that hosts your memories can go under. The government that regulates them can order a takedown. The engineer with the keys can, on any given Tuesday, run a script that ends things.

Hood Storage is not that. It's the opposite of that.

The rail

Robinhood built a chain. Not a marketing chain, a real one, with real gas, real blocks, and a real name on the door. The naming matters. When a mainstream brand stakes its identity on a piece of public infrastructure, that infrastructure becomes very hard to unbuild. You can't quietly delete a rail you told the world was permanent.

We put a vault on that rail.

The deposits

A file goes in. Access rules go on-chain. The file itself lives on decentralized permanent storage, priced once, kept forever. There is no monthly bill. There is no server anyone owns. There is no phone number to call and beg.

The vault charges in $HS. Hold it, and you get storage the way a bank customer gets a safety deposit box. Hold a lot, and the box is infinite. Hold none, and you can still pay per deposit. The token isn't a governance meme. It's the meter.

Why now

Because the fifteen year window in which people trusted big platforms with the record of their lives is closing. Because Robinhood Chain exists and it will not be undone. Because permanent storage is finally cheap enough to price in a single token. Because none of the incumbents will build this.

We're building it.

The offer

You get a bank that never closes. You get files that outlive the app, the team, the year we're in. You get a receipt on-chain that says: this happened, this is mine, no one can take it back.

That is what "Store anything. Forever." means. It is a promise the chain enforces, not a promise we make.

Robinhood built the rail. Hood Storage makes the deposits.
